Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins who is also known as Antonietta Gonzalez-Collins in both the US and Mexico, is an American Mexican sportscaster. She is currently employed by ESPN as a reporter for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. Her first job for ESPN in 2016. Her mother is the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins is bi-lingual and has been for a long time, starting at her age of nine. The ability to speak two languages has helped her get her first job with Univision, Miami. She could work as a producer for national programs such as Nuestra Belleza Latina Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud Primer Impacto. The next position she was offered was reporter for sports at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. She moved from St. Petersburg to Rio Grande Valley in 2009 to work as a reporter on the Spanish channels KNVO TV 48 Univision, as well as Fox2 News. Reporters covered issues related to immigration and drug trafficking throughout Texas as well as Mexico. She would also fill in occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallas' affiliate, where she takes on more responsibility. She wrote pieces for the NBA, Dallas Cowboys' postseason, NBA ALDS ALCS World Series or Finals FC Dallas. She also produced Univision 23's local sports show Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she served as anchor. She has been promoted to anchoring sports for Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same role she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) and Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports channel). Antonietta Collins was a native of Veracruz Mexico. They moved at some point to Mexico City, where Antonietta Collins was born in November 1985. She's more mature than her younger sister. In 1992 her family left Mexico and relocated to Miami. She divorced her parents soon after and, in 1995, she was married a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. She stayed with her family in Canton Ohio with her older sister during the summer, where she had been provided with an opportunity to work. Still a senior in high school and yet knowing exactly about what she wanted to pursue in her future, Antonietta went to the University of Mount Union to assess if it suited her requirements. The campus was stunning and offered the degree she was looking for. She finished school and went to the University as a media studies major. Professor Mark Bergmann, who managed WRMU FM and was a part of the class, established an ongoing relationship with the student. Her professor Mark Bergmann inspired her by his love of journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
